 Mini Tennis TealbyKelsey School Tennis Team win a place in County Final Mini Red Tennis tournament at Tealby Tennis Club.
A fantastic time was had by all who attended this Caistor and De Aston cluster tennis tournament for year 3 and year 4 children.
The event was organised by Joy and John Purkiss and held at the fantastic facilities of Tealby Tennis Club.
Trained leaders from Caistor Grammar and De Aston schools officiated. Even the weather was superb.
Teams consisted of 2 girls and 2 boys who were seeded and played the appropriate seeds from all other schools.
Schools competing were Osgodby, Kelsey, Market Rasen, Grasby and Legsby.
The competition was tight with games scored up to 10 points.
The overall winners came from Kelsey School who won 17 matches and will progress through to the County round later on in the year.
It was so close that the 3 teams who came 2nd all winning 11 matches could not be separated even when counting back to the number of individual points won (a massive 153)!
These teams were Grasby, Legsby and Osgodby Green. |
