Tri Golf LCSSP Final 2010

Woodhall Spa Chip and Putt their way to County Final

The first Coastal School Sport Partnership Tri Golf Final took place at the newly open Wainfleet Road Playing Fields, Skegness on a glorious summers afternoon.

Over 100 children represented their school - Skegness Junior, Ingoldmells, Woodhall Spa, St Helenas Willoughby, Horncastle, Spilsby, Halton Holegate and Great Steeping.

Each team had found its way to the final by competing in local area rounds organised by their School Sport Co-ordinator (SSCo).

The SSCos had organised the final which saw the squads of 12 split into teams of four - 2 boys and 2 girls who then attempted to score as highly as possible at eight activities from Bullseye to Zone Ball, Dominoes to Grand National and not forgetting Tunnel, Down the Middle, Finders Keepers and Drive for Show.

The event was a resounding success not least because of the Young Leaders from QEGS Alford and St Clements Skegness who lead each activity with great precision, care and encouragement.

St Andrews School from Woodhall Spa scored the most points during the afternoon and came out on top and will represent the Partnership at the County Finals at Boston Golf Club 12th July 2010. Spilsby 1 were a close second followed by Horncastle.

A full table of results is attached to the calendar on the web page and under the results tab too.

Tri Golf will become an annual event so look on your new Wallplanner which will be out in September for the 2011 dates.
